About Ann

The Book

Why This Book

Ann is a mother of two amazing children. Writing this book was, in part, for them - so they'd have a reference point for when she's older, without needing healthcare experience of their own to navigate it. It was also written to shine a light on the real gaps in the medical care system, and how families can find their way through them. More than anything, this book gave Ann an outlet to share the most unexpected, demanding, and ultimately transformative journey of her life.

The Foundation

A Life Built on Heart, Resilience, Discipline, Persistence, and Patience

Long before caregiving, Ann was a Canadian National Skating Champion - a young woman who learned early what it meant to show up, train hard, and keep going when it would have been easier to quit. Those same qualities carried her through a long career in healthcare, and later into her own work coaching young adults through life's most profound crossroads. And eventually, into the role of caregiver - one of the most emotionally demanding chapters she has experienced by far.

The Belief

What She Believes

Ann has come to see life through one guiding truth: life is change. Nothing stays the same - including hardship. Every difficult season is temporary, and every experience, however hard, is there to teach us something we haven't yet mastered.

The Joy

What Brings Her Joy

Ann finds joy in the small, grounding moments of an ordinary day - the sun on her face during a walk, the animals that seem to seek her out, and quiet time that asks for nothing but presence. She's energized by the chance to inspire, guide, or simply make someone feel a little safer and more seen, whether that's a client, a friend, or a stranger. She treasures belly laughs with the people she loves, time close to nature, and the books and moments that arrive in her life at exactly the right time. And when her children are happy, safe, and thriving, she counts herself among the most fortunate people alive.
